Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

This past week was Kids' spring break.  While the older son is not interested in Disney any more, I took the younger son along with other two families to visit three Disney theme parks in Orlando.  We all had a blast with those fun rides.  Lucky me, there was a special event going on at Epcot Center, which was annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

The whole park were bursting into colors, and many Disney Characters came to the life in the forms of topiaries.

We found so many butterflies at Bambi's Butterfly House.  My camera was just not
fast enough for those fluttering beauties.

What is the name of this plant?  It must be something that Butterflies love.

Butterflies love this sweet almond bush as much as I do.

Bulbine plants are blooming prolifically just like in my own garden.

China Pavilion displayed a dragon decorated with various bromeliads since this year is  "The year of dragon".

I love this flower bed with all white flowers, perfect for moonlight garden.

The below is "Snow white and seven dwarfs", aren't those dwarfs cute?

Lady and Tramp

This would be a good example of vertical gardening.

What is name of this flower tree?  Love those flowers!

Update:  Thanks for FloweLady,  James Missier and "presentpt" for identifying the above plant as Petrea volubilis, common names: Queen's Wreath, Sandpaper vine, Bluebird vine!

This festival is held March 7, 2012 through May 20, 2012.  For the gardeners, this is a good time to pay a visit there with your kids or grandkids since you all will have loads of fun!

  1. Wow!! The time and effort that goes into this stuff. In one of your pics, you have a Lantana which butterfles love. You've got a Zebra Longwing and a Queen butterfly in another. I've always wanted to try to vertical gardening because it's very interesting and artistic. Thanks for the tour!

  2. Ami ~ Thanks so much for sharing your visit to this event. The photos were great! I think that one purple flowering plant near the bottom is the sandpaper vine, or Queen's Wreath vine. I have one but it hasn't bloomed yet. It's about 3 feet tall.

Happy spring gardening and thank you for the birthday wishes.

  3. hi, Really lovely garden flowers.
The last one is known as Sandpaper flower.
I saw one at the nursery and checked about it - love the blue violet flowers - its a vine type of plant.

  5. This way my associate Wesley Virgin's tale starts in this shocking and controversial VIDEO.

Wesley was in the military-and shortly after leaving-he revealed hidden, "mind control" tactics that the CIA and others used to get everything they want.

These are the exact same methods many famous people (especially those who "became famous out of nothing") and top business people used to become wealthy and successful.

You probably know that you only use 10% of your brain.

Really, that's because most of your BRAINPOWER is UNCONSCIOUS.

Perhaps this expression has even taken place INSIDE your very own brain... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's brain about 7 years back, while driving a non-registered, garbage bucket of a car without a driver's license and with $3 in his pocket.

"I'm absolutely frustrated with living paycheck to paycheck! When will I finally succeed?"

You've been a part of those those thoughts, ain't it so?

Your success story is going to start. All you need is to believe in YOURSELF.
